(*Therapy Services Beginning August 2025*)
"Hey there! — My name is Dr. Jessica Love Jordan (she/her), and I’m Illinois-based licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC), certified alcohol and drug counselor (CADC).
I know it can be a difficult decision to seek therapy, and I am honored that you are considering starting or continuing your therapy journey with me.
If you are seeking support on your path toward greater wellness, healing, and authenticity, I am happy to walk alongside you as a compassionate source of empathy, objectivity, and accountability.
Starting therapy is an investment in your well-being — and I’m here to make the process as clear, supportive, and collaborative as possible."
— Dr. Love Jordan
Owner/Operator
I am passionate about holistic wellness and helping clients cultivate the insight, emotional skills, and self-compassion needed to move forward from "stuck" points in life with clarity, confidence, and intention.
With over 6 years in practice, I specialize in working with adults navigating:
Everyday life transitions
Interpersonal (others) & intrapersonal (self) relationship challenges
Emotional regulation
Self-esteem
Stress management
Burnout
Grief
Depression
Anxiety
Trauma
Substance use and other addictive disorders
Co-occurring substance use and mental health concerns
My areas of focus include emotional wellness, self-leadership, mindfulness, behavioral health maintenance, and recovery support.
Inspired by the African proverb, "When there is no enemy within, the enemy outside can do you no harm," my goal is to help you cultivate the self-trust and internal validation necessary to build a more fulfilling, sustainable life.
Therapy with me is collaborative and guided, honoring your experiences while offering structure, skill-building, and clinical expertise to support your growth.
I work relationally, drawing from a theoretical foundation in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), combined with clinical insight and attunement to the unique needs of each client and each moment.
Our work will include tastefully intentional humor, practical tools, and occasional between-session assignments such as worksheets, mindfulness exercises, skills practice (e.g., boundary setting, relaxation techniques, behavioral activation), or bibliotherapy recommendations.
I believe that emotional wellness begins with nonjudgmental self-acceptance and a deepened connection to your own inner wisdom.
I approach the therapeutic relationship with the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to simply offer guidance, sometimes as acting as a flashlight to help illuminate your path, and other times as a mirror to help you recognize your strengths and areas for growth.

Love Behavioral Health is a 100% virtual practice. Because of this, all therapy sessions are provided virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. You can join sessions easily from a private location of your choice using a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
Telehealth therapy offers the same collaborative, compassionate support as in-person sessions — with the added flexibility of attending from wherever you feel most comfortable.
I’ll provide you with access instructions through the client portal once your intake paperwork is complete.
The purpose of therapy is not to "fix you" — I don’t view people as broken. Instead, I see you as someone who simply hasn’t found the right solution yet. Our work together will focus on finding that solution.
Here’s what you can expect when working with me:
We’ll start with a free, brief 15-minute consultation to explore your needs, answer initial questions, and determine if we’re a good fit.
If you decide to move forward, we’ll use our first session complete an intake assessment where we’ll discuss your current concerns, relevant history, and your goals for therapy.
In our second session, we’ll collaborate to develop a treatment plan that reflects your priorities, focuses, and preferences for growth and support. We may also discuss a provisional diagnosis and it's implications when relevant.
During the initial phase of therapy (typically the first 6 to 12 sessions), I recommend weekly sessions whenever possible. This consistent contact allows us to build a strong therapeutic relationship and gives me the opportunity to develop a clear clinical understanding of your needs.
The overall length of therapy varies depending on your goals and presenting concerns. Some clients may engage in short-term, solution-focused work, while others may choose longer-term therapy for deeper growth and support.
I believe in supporting your autonomy in the therapy relationship. My role is to offer clinical expertise, guidance, and structure, stepping in more directly only during times of crisis or acute need.
When the time feels right, we’ll work collaboratively to plan for the conclusion of therapy. We'll review your progress, explore ways to maintain your growth, and ensure you feel supported for the next steps in your journey.
Session rates are as follows:
15-minute Consultation: No Cost
Initial Intake Assessment (60–75 minutes): $200
Standard Individual Therapy Session (50 minutes): $150
For clients who prefer not to use insurance, private pay options are available.
A limited number of sliding scale openings are offered based on financial need and availability.
Clients paying out-of-pocket may also request a superbill to submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement if desired.
All payments — whether through insurance copayments, deductibles, or private pay — are collected securely through the client portal at the time of service.

Yes. I offer a no-cost 15-minute consultation to help you get a sense of whether we might be a good fit before moving forward. During the consultation, we’ll briefly discuss what you're seeking support for, how I approach therapy, and any questions you may have about the counseling process.

Beginning in August 2025, prior to scheduling, it’s helpful to contact your insurance provider and ask:
Do I have mental health or behavioral health coverage?
Is Dr. Jessica A. Love Jordan an in-network provider?
What is my copayment, deductible, or coinsurance for outpatient therapy?
Do I need prior authorization to begin therapy?
What is my coverage for telehealth (virtual) sessions?
Having this information in advance can help you plan for any out-of-pocket costs.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a late cancellation fee.
Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice (no-show), will incur the full session fee.
However, if you reschedule the missed session within the same calendar week, the late cancellation fee will be waived.
Emergencies or unavoidable circumstances are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Most clients begin therapy with weekly sessions to build momentum and establish a strong working relationship. Together, we’ll assess what frequency best supports your goals over time.
