Accepting New Clients
Hello! I'm Ericka Stuckey, a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) in Illinois. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling with boundaries, adjusting to change, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, I'm here to offer support as you navigate life's challenges.
Blending person-centered, trauma-informed, and harm reduction approaches, I specialize in working with individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. My work also includes supporting individuals navigating recovery, relapse prevention, re-entry, and barriers to accessing care.
Above all, I believe you're the expert on your own life. I respect your experiences, choices, and readiness for change, and believe our work together should reflect what matters most to you. My role is to offer support, structure, and accountability as we build on your strengths and take practical steps toward the life you want.
We specialize in working with adults navigating:
Everyday life transitions
Interpersonal (others) & intrapersonal (self) relationship challenges
Emotional regulation
Self-esteem
Stress management
Burnout
Grief
Depression
Anxiety
Trauma
Substance use and other addictive disorders
Co-occurring substance use and mental health concerns
Our areas of focus include emotional wellness, self-leadership, mindfulness, behavioral health maintenance, and recovery support.
Inspired by the African proverb, "When there is no enemy within, the enemy outside can do you no harm," our goal is to help you cultivate the self-trust and internal validation necessary to build a more fulfilling, sustainable life.
Therapy at LBHC is collaborative and guided, honoring your experiences while offering structure, skill-building, and clinical expertise to support your growth.
We work relationally, drawing from a theoretical foundation in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), combined with clinical insight and attunement to the unique needs of each client and each moment.
Our work will include tastefully intentional humor, practical tools, and occasional between-session assignments such as worksheets, mindfulness exercises, skills practice (e.g., boundary setting, relaxation techniques, behavioral activation), or bibliotherapy recommendations.
We believe that emotional wellness begins with nonjudgmental self-acceptance and a deepened connection to your own inner wisdom.
We approach the therapeutic relationship with the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Our role is to simply offer guidance, sometimes acting as a flashlight to help illuminate your path, and other times as a mirror to help you recognize your strengths and areas for growth.
The purpose of therapy is not to "fix you" — At Love Behavioral Health Consulting, we don’t view people as broken. Instead, we see you as someone who simply hasn’t found the right solution yet. Our work together will focus on finding that solution.
Here’s what you can expect when working with us:
You’ll start with a free, brief 15-minute consultation to explore your needs, answer initial questions, and determine if we’re a good fit.
If you decide to move forward, we’ll use your first session to complete an intake assessment where we’ll discuss your current concerns, relevant history, and your goals for therapy.
In your second session, we’ll collaborate to develop a treatment plan that reflects your priorities, focuses, and preferences for growth and support. We may also discuss a provisional diagnosis and its implications when relevant.
During the initial phase of therapy (typically the first 6 to 12 sessions), we recommend weekly sessions whenever possible. This consistent contact allows us to build a strong therapeutic relationship and gives us the opportunity to develop a clear clinical understanding of your needs.
The overall length of therapy varies depending on your goals and presenting concerns. Some clients may engage in short-term, solution-focused work, while others may choose longer-term therapy for deeper growth and support.
We believe in supporting your autonomy in the therapy relationship. Our role is to offer clinical expertise, guidance, and structure, stepping in more directly only during times of crisis or acute need.
When the time feels right, we’ll work collaboratively to plan for the conclusion of therapy. We'll review your progress, explore ways to maintain your growth, and ensure you feel supported for the next steps in your journey.
Session rates are as follows:
15-minute Consultation: No Cost
Initial Intake Assessment (60–75 minutes): $200
Standard Individual Therapy Session (50-minutes): $150
For clients who prefer not to use insurance, private pay options are available. Clients paying out-of-pocket may also request a superbill to submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement if desired.
All payments — whether through insurance copayments, deductibles, or private pay — are collected securely through the client portal at the time of service.
Love Behavioral Health Consulting offers a sliding scale and reduced-fee therapy slots in alignment with the Federal Poverty Guidelines, as part of our community access efforts.
These discounted services are available to individuals who qualify based on income and household size. Services are offered on a first-available basis, and no one is denied access solely due to inability to pay.
If all reduced-fee spots are currently filled, clients will have the option to be added to a waitlist or referred to other low-cost resources.

Yes, we offer a no-cost 15-minute consultation to help you get a sense of whether we might be a good fit before moving forward. During the consultation, we’ll briefly discuss what you're seeking support for, how we approach therapy, and any questions you may have about the counseling process.

If your insurance provider is not listed, you may still be able to work with us using your out-of-network benefits. We encourage you to contact your insurance company directly to verify your coverage before scheduling.
Prior to scheduling, it’s helpful to contact your insurance provider and ask:
Do I have mental health or behavioral health coverage?
Is Dr. Jessica A. Love Jordan an in-network provider?
What is my copayment, deductible, or coinsurance for outpatient therapy?
Do I need prior authorization to begin therapy?
What is my coverage for telehealth (virtual) sessions? (if applicable)
Having this information in advance can help you plan for any out-of-pocket costs.
For clients who prefer private pay or who are not using insurance, our standard session fees are:
15-minute Consultation: No cost
Initial Intake Assessment (60–75 minutes): $200
Standard Individual Therapy Session (50 minutes): $150
We also offer a sliding scale based on financial need and clinician availability.
Private pay clients may also request a superbill to submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
Consistency is important for therapeutic progress, and we reserve time specifically for you when you schedule.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a late cancellation fee.
Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice (no-show), will incur the full session fee.
However, if you reschedule the missed session within the same calendar week, the late cancellation fee will be waived.
Emergencies or unavoidable circumstances are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Most clients begin therapy with weekly sessions to build momentum and establish a strong working relationship. Together, we’ll assess what frequency best supports your goals over time.
We specialize in supporting adults navigating everyday life transitions, emotional regulation challenges, relationship issues, stress, burnout, trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, and recovery support for substance use and other addictive disorders.
